Vinylic conjugated polymers : This kind of polymer structure can find several applications in organic electronic, like photovoltaic, PLED, laser or organic transistors and others that required a semiconducting material. This polymer is produced with the Horner-olefination process (High trans-double bond proportion) and is terminated with aldehyde. To calculate your desired chain length, take care to use this formula : number of aromatic ring = [DPn *2]+3 for the MEH-PPV structure only the DPn is fully customizable by you, just indicate it in the reference.
Our MEH-PPV are terminated with an aldehyd function that allows these semiconducting polymers to be post modify or linked with an other polymer. MEH-PPV are very soluble in common organic solvents that assure an easy processing for all electronics organic devices like PLED, OPV, OTFT and more. MEH-PPV are conjugated and give materials which emits in the yellow to red wave length. The polymers are suitable to make organic light emitting diode like OLED PLED P-OLED. Green light emitting polymer (PFV-co-MEH PPV) can be used as an electroluminescent devices like organic light emitting film diode.
