Aldehydes :

This kind of molecule can be used as precursor for polymer making with the Horner-olefination

technique in combination with a di-phosphonate and a base. Aldehydes can also be use in the synthesis of

poly(Schiff-base) with a diamine. We also find aldehyde compound in the synthesis of poly(aryl imidazole).
